The Past Members memorial day is an all day competition where we recall former members who are no longer with us. Monies raised on the day go towards St Christopher’s Hospice in Sydenham (visit their website).
On Sunday, we had an ideal turnout of 16, which allowed everyone to play 6 matches of doubles. The event was won by Mike Azzopardi, who garnered 6 wins out of 6; runner-up was David Randall, while 3rd was Ash Patel, 2 of 5 players who won 4 games out of 6. Everyone won at least 1 game, and we welcomed new member Brian for his first competition – in fact, he’s so new, the ink had hardly had time to dry on his application form.
