Continued progress on our League competitions, with just 53 out of 136 remaining in the Singles League, while there are still have 26 out of 55 to play in the Doubles. The latest sheets are on our 2022 Competition page.
The last semi-final was played on Wednesday, so we now know the names of all 4 finalists. In the Cup, the final will be between Terry Eames and Ash Patel (last season’s runner-up), while in the Plate the finalists are Mike Azzopardi and Robin Reid. Arrangements for the finals will be announced in due course.
More progress with our league competitions this week, with 59% of the Singles program completed and exactly 50% in the Doubles League. Last week saw us hold our second Midweek Masters competition. 14 entrants played through 6 matches and coming out on top, with 5 wins, was Steve Fort. In 2nd place was Gary Greenman, and 3rd was David Randall, both of whom picked up 4 wins.
A healthy turnout for Friday’s club session, despite the temperature, saw a lot of games played in the Singles League, as well as the first semi-final in the Knockout Cup. As always, full details are on the 2022 competition page.
The Past Members memorial day is an all day competition where we recall former members who are no longer with us.
