An intrepid band of players turned out for the Club Singles braving some very wet weather during the morning round robin session, to say nothing of a very wet piste which meant most of the play was on the ‘beach’.
One or two players insisted on playing in the small area of the club house side piste which they decided was playable (debatable) and which nearly had us looking up the rules about floating coches!
The weather abated a bit for the afternoon knockout phase and indeed became quite pleasant, just as we were finishing the competition!
Overcoming all these obstacles, Visschien won the trophy with Robin the runner up. The plate competition was won by Tom Hitchin who has just joined us.
Overall, a good, if somewhat damp, day and we look forward to the next Club competition which is the Founders Cup on 20th May.
