The last competition day of the season is the Presidents Shield, which was played in surprisingly warm conditions on Saturday 5th and saw 13 players take part.
Earlier in the season we’d had some days with matches taking a long time to finish, thus stretching the duration of the competition. This day, however, saw matches completed relatively quickly, with the day complete and the prizes presented by the middle of the afternoon.
We had a new member, Stephane Baj, taking part and managing to bag 3rd spot on his 1st day. Runner up was Al Morin (who introduced Stephane to us) and the winner, with 6 wins out of 6 was, appropriately enough, our President Linda Greenwood.
