On Sunday April 26th, we played our first competition of the season, The Club Singles.
12 players entered, giving us 3 groups of 4 with each group playing a full round robin before the lunch interval. In the afternoon, the top 8 went into a straight knockout for the Trophy, while the remaining 4 fought it out for the Plate.
The Trophy was won by Robin Reid, recovering from a slow start in the final to finally triumph over Gary Greenman. The Plate final was a win for Al Morin over Linda Greenwood.
After play was over, Lina also presented Darren with his trophy for winning the 2025 Singles Knockout Plate, as he was unable to attend the AGM.
