Good progress this week in playing the Singles league and we have played enough knock-out cup matches for us to know how many players will play in the Plate.
This new competition is for those players who lost their first match in the Cup and will feature 10 players. The draw was made on Friday afternoon and is as follows:
1st Round – to be played by June 25th
Match 1: Janet Edmonds or Linda Greenwood v Keith Biles
Match 2: John Desbottes or Andy Hill v Tony Greenwood or Maryann Jones
2nd Round – to be played by July 16th
David Randall v Gary Greenman
Mike Azzopardi v Adrian Cowie
Robin Reid v Winners of Match 1
Richard Scrimshaw or Steve Gorman v Winners of Match 2
Note that, in the above draw, all of the “or” slots represent matches in the Cup that have yet to be played. Once each has been played, the winner will continue in the Cup, while the loser will play in this competition.
